Teck Resources and PolyMet form 50:50 joint venture NewRange Copper Nickel
Teck Resources and PolyMet Mining agreed to form a 50:50 joint venture, NewRange Copper Nickel LLC, to advance PolyMet's NorthMet project and Teck's Mesaba deposit in Minnesota. First production from NorthMet is targeted for 2026, with annual payable production of 30,000 tonnes copper, 3,600 tonnes nickel, 58,000 ounces palladium, and 12,000 ounces platinum.
