Grupo Industrial Saltillo (GIS) has reached a definitive agreement to sell its Vitromex Ceramic Tiles Business to Mohawk Industries for $293 million. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2022.

Saltillo Industrial Group (GIS) agreed to sell Vitromex USA and Manufacturas Vitromex to Mohawk and its subsidiary Dal-Tile México Comercial for $293 million. Vitromex manufactures ceramic and porcelain coatings in Mexico.

Mexico's Federal Economic Competition Commission (COFECE) approved the acquisition of Manufacturas Vitromex by Mohawk Industries on February 16, 2023. Both companies are manufacturers of ceramic and porcelain coatings.

Mohawk Industries has agreed to purchase the Vitromex ceramic tile business from Grupo Industrial Saltillo for approximately $293 million in cash. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2022.
