Inrotech

Lincoln Electric acquired Inrotech A/S, a Denmark-based automation system integrator specializing in automated welding systems with adaptive intelligence software and computer vision. Terms were not disclosed.

Inrotech received an order from Welcon to supply welding robots for Welcon's largest factory expansion, including four plate preparation lines, a new surface treatment facility, and several welding shops. The expansion totals 30,000 m2 of buildings and 45,000 m2 of hard surface storage.

Welcon will begin industrial production of floating wind turbine foundations at its factory in Give, Denmark in 2023, with an annual steel capacity of 40,000 tons. The foundations are developed by Stiesdal and will support offshore wind turbines of 15 MW and larger.
