PETRONAS Chemicals Group Berhad

BASF PETRONAS Chemicals (BPC), a joint venture between BASF and PETRONAS Chemicals Group, announced an expansion of its 2-Ethylhexanoic Acid plant in Kuantan, Malaysia, doubling annual capacity to 60,000 metric tons. The expanded plant is expected to start up by Q4 2024.

PETRONAS Chemicals Group Berhad (PCG) has signed a Securities Purchase Agreement to acquire the entire equity interest in Perstorp Holding AB from Financière Forêt S.à.r.l, a company under PAI Partners.

PETRONAS Chemicals Group Berhad signed a Securities Purchase Agreement on 14 May 2022 to acquire Perstorp Holding AB, a Swedish specialty chemicals company, for EUR 1,538 million (USD 1.6 billion).

Technip Energies, as leader of a consortium with Dialog E&C, has been awarded an EPCC contract by PETRONAS Chemicals Fertiliser Kedah for a new 60,000 ton per annum greenfield melamine plant in Gurun, Kedah, Malaysia. The contract follows successful completion of FEED by Technip Energies.
