Dalmia Bharat Cement

Dalmia Bharat Cement, through its subsidiary Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd, has entered into a binding agreement to acquire clinker, cement and power plants from Jaiprakash Associates Ltd and its associate company for an enterprise value of INR 56,660 million. The assets are located in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, India.

Dalmia Bharat Cement's Bokaro expansion project in Jharkhand, India, has begun with a foundation stone laying. The INR5.67bn (US$75.15m) project will add a 2Mta grinding line, increasing capacity from 3.7Mta to 6.2Mta, and is expected to be completed within a year.
