Scancem International DA, a subsidiary of HeidelbergCement, agreed to acquire 68.33% of Tanga Cement from AfriSam Mauritius Investment Holdings for Sh137.33 billion. Closing expected in Q2 2022.

HeidelbergCement signed an agreement to acquire 68% of shares in Tanzanian cement producer Tanga Cement, securing a limestone quarry and a 1.3Mta cement plant. Closing is expected in Q2 2022.
