Komatsu will sell new mining equipment to PIMS Group and provide maintenance services for a five-year contract to convert the Millennium and Mavis Downs coal mines to underground operations. The equipment order includes two continuous miners, four shuttle cars, a feeder breaker and a multibolter.

PIMS Group placed an order with Komatsu for eight pieces of underground mining equipment, including continuous miners and shuttle cars, for its $425 million contract at the Millennium and Mavis Downs coal complex in Queensland, Australia. Delivery is due in mid-2022.

Komatsu signed an agreement to sell new mining equipment and provide maintenance services to PIMS Group for converting the idled Millennium and Mavis Downs open-pit coal mines in Queensland to underground operations. The five-year contract includes eight pieces of equipment, with delivery due in mid-2022.
