Ningbo Orient Wires & Cables to acquire 8.5% stake in UK's XLCC for £10M
Ningbo Orient Wires & Cables (Oriental Cable) will invest £10 million to acquire about 8.5% equity in UK-based XLCC Limited, a high-voltage direct current (HVDC) cable manufacturer. The two companies also signed a strategic cooperation agreement for HVDC cable design and manufacturing.

XLCC plans HVDC cable factory at Hunterston PARC, Scotland
Peel Ports Clydeport signed an option agreement with XLCC for a 70-acre facility at Hunterston PARC in Ayrshire, Scotland, to produce HVDC subsea cables, with investment of £370 million and creation of 900 permanent jobs.
