Petrofac named preferred substation supplier for SSE's Seagreen wind farm
SSE Renewables appointed Petrofac as preferred supplier of substations for the 1,075MW Seagreen offshore wind farm off the Angus coast in Scotland. Petrofac will design, supply and install the onshore and offshore HVAC substations, supporting up to 100 jobs. The announcement was made on January 16, 2020.

ABB to supply HVDC Light converters for Dogger Bank offshore wind farm
ABB secured a contract to supply HVDC Light converter systems connecting the Dogger Bank offshore wind project, developed by Equinor and SSE Renewables, to the UK transmission network. Aibel will deliver two offshore converter platforms. The report is dated 30 October 2019.
