Sirplaste

SCG Chemicals invested in new technologies and machinery at Sirplaste in Portugal to expand high-quality post-consumer recycled resin (PCR) production capacity by 9,000 tonnes per year, reaching over 45,000 tonnes per year by Q2 2023.

SCG Chemicals (SCGC) has completed the acquisition of a 70% stake in Sirplaste, a plastic recycling company in Portugal, to expand production capacity in Europe and enter the high-quality post-consumer recycled resin market.

SCG Chemicals, through its subsidiary, has signed an agreement to acquire a 70% stake in Sirplaste, a Portuguese recycled plastics producer. The transaction is expected to close in 2021.
