Broadwind Heavy Fabrications

Konecranes Nuclear Equipment and Services secured an additional $15 million order from the U.S. Navy for building 175-ton heavy-lift portal cranes at its New Berlin and Manitowoc facilities, bringing cumulative federal contracts to $244 million. Work will be completed by September 2028.

Broadwind Heavy Fabrications will invest $3 million to expand its facility in Abilene, Texas, creating 40 jobs. The expansion will add 50,000 square feet of manufacturing space.

Konecranes and Broadwind Heavy Fabrications completed assembly of a giant crane capable of lifting 140-ton loads for the US Navy in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. The project was supported by $3.75 million in state grants.
