Genera completed a $340+ million expansion of its molded fiber packaging manufacturing facility in Vonore, Tennessee, creating over 200 new jobs and bringing annual capacity to over 30,000 tons. The completion was announced on July 28, 2025.

Genera broke ground on a nearly $350 million expansion of its Sustainable Biomaterials Campus in Vonore, Tennessee, adding over 150,000 square feet and more than 230 local jobs for compostable molded fiber packaging production.

Genera awarded the engineering, procurement and construction contract for its first manufacturing facility in Vonore, Tennessee to WG Yates & Sons Construction. The project is backed by a $118 million investment for silver-based food-grade packaging fibre products.
