Vitol

MYTILINEOS has signed an EPC contract with VPI Immingham-B LLP (a Vitol entity) to develop a 299MW open-cycle gas turbine power plant in Immingham, UK. Siemens Energy will supply the main equipment. The plant is expected to enter commercial operation in July 2025.

VPI, a division of Vitol, formed a joint venture with Lumcloon Energy to build a 275MW open cycle gas turbine power plant in County Westmeath, Ireland. Construction is expected to start in 2023.

Energy trader Vitol, via its subsidiary VPI Holdings, agreed to acquire four combined cycle gas turbines in Britain from Drax Smart Generation, adding 3.3 GW of CCGT capacity.
