The 1.2 GW Toktogul hydropower plant in Kyrgyzstan is undergoing rehabilitation and upgrade to increase its generating capacity by 240 MW to 1.44 GW. The project is being implemented by owner Electric Power Plants and is targeted for completion in 2023.
