BCIC and EDII form joint venture for cement plant in Sunamganj, Bangladesh
Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC) and Saudi firm Engineering Dimensions International Investment (EDII) signed a joint venture agreement to set up a cement plant next to the Chhatak cement factory in Sunamganj, worth Tk3,000 crore. The plant will process 12,000 tonnes of clinker and 3,000 tonnes of cement per day, with production starting in mid-2023.
