Sika Egypt acquired Modern Waterproofing company after closing a successful tender offer on the Cairo Stock Exchange. Modern Waterproofing is a manufacturer of bituminous waterproof membranes.

Sika has acquired Modern Waterproofing Group, a leading manufacturer of roofing and waterproofing systems in Egypt. The acquired business generates annual sales of CHF 26 million and is based in Cairo with a production facility in Badr City.

Sika Egypt For Construction Chemicals S.A.E completed the acquisition of Modern Waterproofing Company S.A.E. for approximately EGP 470 million on a cash-free and debt-free basis.
