Metlen announced a final investment decision to construct a fourth defense equipment factory in the Industrial Zone of Volos, with an investment of approximately €50 million. The factory will be equipped for Leopard 2A8 battle tank technology and is expected to begin operations in the first half of 2027, creating 200-250 new jobs.

Metlen Energy & Metals announced a €295.5 million investment to develop an integrated bauxite, alumina and gallium production line at its Aluminium of Greece factory in Agios Nikolaos, Viotia. The project aims to achieve annual production of 2 million tons of bauxite, 1,265,000 tons of alumina (up from 865,000 tons), and 50 MT of gallium.
