Simmons Machine Tool Corporation has established the Niles Technical Application Center at its Albany, New York facility to offer Niles-Simmons precision CNC machining centers to North American customers. The center will target aerospace, defense, railway and machinery manufacturing industries.

Simmons Machine Tool Corporation received a nearly $14 million contract for wheel reprofiling machines, including five new Stanray TN-84C Wheel Truing Machines, a Stanray M3 Underfloor Wheel Truing Machine, and upgrades to four existing machines. It is the largest machine order in company history.
