Leonardo DRS received a $45 million U.S. Navy Submarine Industrial Base investment commitment through contracts with HII Newport News Shipbuilding. It will fund capabilities and a 40,000 sq ft expansion of its under-construction naval propulsion facility in Goose Creek, South Carolina, expected to open in 2026.
Leonardo DRS extended its LM2500 gas turbine packaging supply agreement with GE Marine Solutions through the end of 2024, with an option to extend to 2029. The deal covers manufacture of GE-designed packages for U.S. Navy and selected international platforms.
