Velan France, a subsidiary of Velan Inc., won contracts to supply nuclear-class valves to several Chinese nuclear engineering firms worth about US$36 million. Deliveries are scheduled for 2018 and 2019 for reactors at Fangchengang, Tianwan, Rongsheng, Sanmen, Haiyang and Lufeng.
Velan was awarded supply contracts for forged, high-pressure ASME Class 1 nuclear valves from several Chinese nuclear engineering companies. The orders are worth about €33 million (US$36 million) and are for five nuclear power plants, with delivery in 2018 and 2019.
