Terrafame

Finnish mining company Terrafame received environmental approval for its battery materials factory in Sotkamo, Finland. The plant will produce nickel sulfate and cobalt sulfate for electric vehicle batteries.

Valmet has received an automation technology order from Terrafame for a new battery chemicals plant in Sotkamo, Finland. The plant will start commercial operation in early 2021.
