Orange County Water District approves final expansion of GWRS
The Orange County Water District board awarded a $310 million contract to Shimmick Construction for the 30 MGD Final Expansion of the Groundwater Replenishment System. The project will add 31,000 acre-feet per year of water supply, bringing total capacity to 134,000 AFY. Construction is estimated to be completed in 2023.
