SNF Holding Company is investing $375 million to expand its water-treatment and water-conditioning polymer production plant near Plaquemine, Louisiana. The expansion will add 150 new jobs and retain 390 existing positions.

SNF will expand powder-grade polyacrylamide capacity by 75,000 metric tons per year globally by end of 2020, and emulsion-grade polyacrylamide capacity by 100,000 t per year in the US by end of 2019. The company will have spent $1.2 billion on polyacrylamide capacity expansion over three years ending in 2020.

SNF Group is investing $1.2 billion over three years to increase polyacrylamide production capacity globally, including expansions in the U.S. and China.
