Showa Denko acquired 50% ownership in AMI Automation, headquartered in Monterrey, Mexico, effective February 5, 2021. Showa Denko has an option to acquire the remaining 50% within five years.

Continental Structural Plastics, owned by Japan's Teijin Group, agreed to acquire the assets of AMI Stamping, including its 90,000-square-foot headquarters and manufacturing plant in Manchester, with 70 employees.
