Aspen Pharmacare

Aspen Pharmacare pledged R3.4 billion to build a new global steriles platform in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, to establish itself as a global anaesthetic manufacturing hub. Commercial production is set to commence in early 2020.

Aspen Pharmacare has expanded its sterile production site at Notre Dame de Bondeville in France with a new anaesthetic facility and high-speed filling lines for thrombosis products, part of a €100 million investment. The expansion will add capacity for 80 million blow-fill-seal anaesthetic units and 180 million pre-filled syringes annually, with commercial production expected in 2020.
