Sumitomo Chemical acquires Emas Plastik in Turkey
Sumitomo Chemical, through its subsidiary Sumika Polymer Compounds Europe Ltd., has acquired the Emas Group, a major plastic compounder in Turkey, to expand its polypropylene compounds business. The acquisition was announced on 5 August 2019.

Sumika Polymer Compounds to acquire Turkish EMAS Group
Sumika Polymer Compounds Europe, a subsidiary of Sumitomo Chemical, has signed an agreement to acquire Turkish engineering plastics and polyolefin compounds manufacturer EMAS Group. The acquisition will increase Sumika's production capacity to 140,000 tons/year.
