Altivia, a Houston-based chemical producer, purchased 460 acres of property owned by Dow Chemical in Institute, West Virginia. The sale includes 61 employees and allows nine existing companies to remain on site.

ALTIVIA announced the completion of a new multipurpose production unit at its Phosgene Derivatives Unit in La Porte, Texas, resulting in a 30% increase in capacity for acid chlorides and chloroformates.
