Daifuku Co., Ltd. announced plans for its subsidiary Vega Conveyors and Automation to construct a new manufacturing plant in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. An initial investment of 2 billion rupees is planned, with operations forecasted to begin in 2024, quadrupling production capacity and creating 250 new jobs.

Daifuku Co. will set up a manufacturing facility in Telangana, India, with an investment of ₹450 crore. The first phase of ₹200 crore is expected to be ready in 18 months. The facility will produce intra-logistics equipment such as automated storage and retrieval systems, sorting transfer vehicles, conveyors, and sorters.

Daifuku Co Ltd, a Japanese material-handling equipment company, has completed the acquisition of Hyderabad-based Vega Conveyors & Automation Pvt Ltd to expand in the Indian market.
