IHI Corporation will transfer its power plant engineering business to Niigata Power Systems, which will also absorb Diesel United. The merged entity will be renamed IHI Power Systems, effective no later than July 1, 2019.

IHI Corporation announced the merger of Diesel United, Ltd., Niigata Power Systems Co., Ltd., and IHI's Power System Plants for Land Business Unit into a new wholly owned subsidiary, IHI Power Systems Co., Ltd., effective July 1, 2019.
