Shougang Group

Primetals Technologies received an order from Shougang Cold Rolling Co to modernize the Level 1 and Level 2 automation systems at the pickling line tandem cold mill in Shunyi, Beijing, China. The project also includes revamping one main drive, with completion scheduled for August 2026.

Clayton Equipment secured a contract to supply 12 hybrid locomotives to Shougang Group for its Macheng iron ore mine in China. The contract covers seven 55 t and five 32 t hybrid locomotives for delivery in 2022-2023.

Epiroc secured a large order valued at over MSEK 300 ($26.6 million) from Luannan Macheng Mining (part of Shougang Group) for underground mining equipment including Scooptram loaders, Simba production drilling rigs, Boomer face drilling rigs, and Boltec rock reinforcement rigs for the new Macheng iron ore mine in Hebei Province.

Jingtang Company, part of Shougang Group, won a bid to supply 5,300 tons of steel plates for the Sinopec Kuqa crude oil commercial storage project. The order includes 2,900 tons of alloy container steel, the highest-grade product since the heat treatment line started.

Tonggang Company, part of Shougang Group, won a bid to supply 430,000 tons of steel materials for the east extension of Changchun Metro Line 2, the southern extension of Light Rail Line 4, and Lines 6 and 7 of Changchun Rail Transit Group. The construction period lasts until August 2024.

Shougang Group awarded CMI Industry Metals a contract for a 500,000 t/y hot rolled continuous galvanizing line for high-strength steel up to 780 MPa tensile strength.
