Ethiopian Electric Power has awarded contracts to Power China (11 turbines) and GE Hydro France (2 turbines) for the supply, installation and maintenance of turbines for the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam. Power China also received a $125.6 million contract for steel structure construction.

GE Power-led consortium awarded order for 1285MW Baleh hydro project in Malaysia
A consortium led by GE Power India, including GE Hydro France, GE Renewable Malaysia and Sinohydro Corporation (M), was awarded a contract by SEB Power Sdn. Bhd. for the main electrical and mechanical works of the 1285MW Baleh Hydroelectric Project in Sarawak, Malaysia. The total order value is approximately MYR 595 million and USD 159 million, with GE Power India's share about USD 98.4 million.
