Southern States

COELME-EGIC (Italy & France) and Southern States (USA) entered a strategic joint venture with iSAT India, with CoelmeEgic acquiring a minority equity stake. The venture will localize manufacturing of high-voltage switching systems in India, and iSAT is expanding its Haridwar facility with a new 30,000 sq. ft. unit.

Southern States, LLC has acquired Silicon Power Corporation (SPC), a designer and manufacturer of high-power semiconductor devices for utility and industrial power systems. SPC will be integrated into Southern States' Power Systems Solutions Division.

Siemens agreed to acquire a non-controlling 25% minority shareholding in Coelme Group, an Italian-based subsidiary of Southern States LCC that manufactures high-voltage disconnect switches. Closing is expected in the first half of 2019.
