Assemblin has won a contract worth approximately SEK 46 million to carry out multidisciplinary technical installations (electricity, ventilation, cooling, sanitation, control and ironwork) for AstraZeneca's facility in Södertälje, Sweden. The project includes new cooling towers and liquid cooling units to ensure cooling and dehumidification capacity for drug production.

AstraZeneca's manufacturing facility in North Ryde, Sydney, Australia has been expanding and increasing production facilities for a respiratory medication. The expansion involves fully automating and modernizing the production process with new process control valves from Bürkert.

mAbxience entered into an agreement with AstraZeneca to produce the COVID-19 vaccine at its Garín plant in Argentina. The active ingredient will be sent to Mexico for filling, with over 200 million doses supplied to Latin America.

AstraZeneca inaugurated a €135 million expansion at its Dunkerque site, adding a new testing laboratory, a third formulation line, a fifth assembly line, and an automated warehouse. The expansion increases capacity for inhaler production.

Zambon approved investments of over €30 million to expand its Vicenza plant to increase Fluimucil production from 50 million to 350 million vials per year, creating 120 jobs. The expansion is driven by an agreement with AstraZeneca to export to China.
