TANCEM to expand Ariyalur cement plant capacity
Tamil Nadu Cements Corporation Ltd (TANCEM) announced a capacity expansion at its Ariyalur facility, costing Rs 809.9 crore. The total installed capacity will reach 17 lakh tonnes per year by 2020-21, up from the current 7 lakh tonnes. The expansion will create 250 direct and 1,000 indirect jobs.

Tamil Nadu Cements completes construction of 1Mta plant in Ariyalur
Tamil Nadu Cements Corp Ltd has completed 95% of the erection of a new 1Mta cement plant in Ariyalur, India, with an investment of INR 7.5 billion ($101 million). Commercial production is expected to start in January or February 2019.
