Mintek Machinery, official dealer of Hitachi Construction Machinery in Russia, will supply 21 Hitachi EH3500AC-3 rigid dump trucks and 5 mining excavators to Stroyservice's coal mines in Kuzbass. The contract is worth over $65 million.

Uralmashzavod has started developing a new modification of the EKG-20 mining excavator, designated EKG-20S, designed for extreme cold climates. Design work is expected to be completed by December 2018.
