Yilport Holding chose Konecranes to refurbish and recommission 23 cranes at Taranto Port, Italy, as part of plans to create a Mediterranean shipping hub.

Konecranes signed a contract in November 2016 with the Virginia Port Authority to supply 86 Automated Stacking Cranes for Norfolk International Terminals and Virginia International Gateway. The deal was valued at €200 million.

Konecranes won a $46 million contract from the US Navy to deliver a 175-ton portal jib crane to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Washington, with options for six additional cranes worth up to $330 million.

Mitsui E&S Machinery received an order from Yilport to supply four STS cranes and six RTG cranes to Gemlik Terminal in Turkey, and three STS cranes to Gavle Terminal in Sweden.

Mitsui E&S Machinery received orders from Yilport Holding for four quay gantry cranes and six yard transfer cranes for the Port of Gemlik, Turkey, and from Gavre Port for three quay gantry cranes for the Port of Gavre, Sweden.

Mitsui E&S Machinery received an order from YILPORT Holding to supply 6 ship-to-shore cranes and 18 electrified rubber-tyred gantry cranes for the YILPORT Puerto Bolívar container terminal in Ecuador.

Konecranes received an order from Atakaş Port Business for a Model 7 portal harbor crane, the third Konecranes Gottwald crane purchased within the past year. The crane will be delivered to Iskenderun, Turkey, starting mid-2019, and includes an option for another crane.

Yilport Holding has taken delivery of two new Liebherr LHM 600 mobile harbour cranes for its recently acquired terminal in Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala.

Gävle Hamn is investing in an automated high-bay warehouse for paper rolls, to be housed in a 10,000 sqm, 25-meter-high building with a capacity of 500,000 tons per year. The facility will be leased to operator Yilport under a 30-year agreement.
