Drax Power

Power Minerals Limited (PML), a subsidiary of EP Power Minerals GmbH (EPPM), and Drax Power Limited entered into a 20-year joint venture agreement to build a plant for processing coal ash into fly ash near the Drax power plant in the UK. Initial annual capacity will be 400,000 tonnes, with production expected by end of 2026.

Siemens secured a £40 million contract from Drax Power to upgrade the biomass generating units at Drax power station in North Yorkshire, UK. The three-year project will improve efficiency and reduce costs of biomass electricity production, with one unit upgraded each year starting in 2019.
