Tredegar agrees to sell Terphane flexible packaging films business to Oben Group for $116M
Tredegar agreed to sell its Terphane flexible packaging films business, with about 500 employees and sites in Brazil and New York, to affiliates of Oben Group for net debt-free base consideration of $116 million. Closing is subject to competition clearance in Brazil and Colombia and is expected in 8 to 14 months.

Avantium Renewable Polymers signed two additional conditional offtake agreements for PEF resin with Toyobo and Terphane, bringing the total to four contracts, which together cover 30% of the planned flagship FDCA plant's capacity. Refresco is also among the offtake partners.

Brazil's CADE approves Tredegar's sale of Terphane to Oben Group
Brazil's competition authority CADE approved a merger control agreement allowing Tredegar to sell its Brazilian flexible packaging business Terphane to Oben Group. Closing is planned for November 1, 2024, for a base consideration of $116 million.
