Rayner

Rayner, a UK-based ophthalmic implant manufacturer, has acquired a substantial stake in Reper, a Russian material science and medical device company, following a four-year R&D collaboration on a hydrophobic IOL material. Financial terms are not disclosed.

Rayner's $40 million Ridley Innovation Centre in Worthing, UK, an IOL production facility with capacity of 3 million lenses per year, received FDA approval. The facility opened in 2017.
