São Salvador Alimentos contracted Marel to implement two complete convenience lines for sausages and convenience food at its facility in Goiás, Brazil. Production is expected to start in January 2022.

Marel Poultry BV started up a new poultry processing plant for Arabian Farms Investments (Saha Poultry) in the United Arab Emirates in January 2021. The plant includes slaughter, wastewater treatment, and rendering systems supplied by Marel, Aqua Marel, and Haarslev.

Romanian poultry business Morandi is building a new processing plant with a capacity of 4,000 broilers per hour, supplied by Marel Poultry. The plant will handle plucking, evisceration, chilling, cut-up and deboning.

Cranswick is constructing a new poultry processing plant in Eye, Suffolk, UK, valued at GBP 75 million. The facility will process 1.2 million birds per week and is expected to be operational towards the end of the new financial year.

CP Foods is modernizing two poultry processing plants in Hubei and Fujian provinces, China, with Marel Poultry supplying new evisceration and processing equipment. The Hubei plant will handle 12,500 bph and the Fujian plant 13,500 bph.

Şenpiliç, a Turkish poultry processor, installed Marel Poultry equipment including weigh price labellers, Smartline Graders, and a BoxGrader controlled by Innova software at its Kadirli processing plant to manage packing, batching and labelling operations.

Costco is constructing a new chicken processing plant in Fremont, Nebraska, operated by Lincoln Premium Poultry. The 360,000 sqft facility will process 2 million chickens per week, employ 1,000 people, and be equipped with Marel Poultry systems.
