HD Hyundai Electric's US subsidiary Hyundai Electric America signed a KRW 213.6 billion ($164 million) deal with Xcel Energy to supply power transformers for power plants in Texas, Colorado and Minnesota. Delivery is scheduled between 2025-2027.

NSP-Minnesota, a subsidiary of Xcel Energy, agreed to purchase Mankato Energy Center I and II from Southern Power Company for approximately $650 million. The acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals and expected to close in mid-2019.

Vestas Wind Systems received an order from Xcel Energy for 442MW of wind turbines (V116-2.0MW and V110-2.0MW models) to be installed across 12 wind farms in seven US states. The contract includes a 10-year service agreement, with deliveries starting in Q4 2018.
