Bunzl UK & Ireland and Huhtamaki agreed an exclusive deal for Bunzl to distribute Huhtamaki's Taste Boxes in the UK and Ireland, running until October 2025. The paper containers use a plant-protein Morro Coating developed by Xampla.

Bunzl agreed to acquire Abco Kovex, a Dublin-based distributor of flexible packaging with UK operations and 2019 revenue of EUR 23 million. Completion is subject to clearance by the Irish competition authority.

Bunzl agreed to acquire MCR Safety, a US distributor of largely own-brand personal protection equipment and safety products, in a deal expected to complete at the end of August 2020. Aggregate revenue of the businesses being acquired in 2019 was US$248 million.

Bunzl Distribution announced the acquisition of Joshen Paper & Packaging, a distributor of packaging supplies with locations in 11 US states and about 450 employees.

London-based Bunzl plc reportedly acquired Monte Package Company, a 92-year-old packaging supplies manufacturer in Hagar Township, Riverside, Michigan, as disclosed in its first-quarter results. The price was not disclosed.
