KMWE Aero Engine delivered the first part for the nozzle of the F135 engine to Pratt & Whitney, under a contract awarded in 2018. At least 5000 parts will be delivered over the next five years.
KMWE relocated its first GROB 5-axis machining centre to its new facility at Brainport Industries Campus (BIC) on 29 January 2019. Around 50 large CNC machines and 80 smaller machines will be moved over the next year.
Pratt & Whitney awarded KMWE Group's subsidiary DutchAero a 10-year long-term procurement agreement to manufacture F135 engine nozzle fabrications for the F-35 Lightning II aircraft. The contract strengthens the relationship between the companies.
