Codelco awards desalination plant contract to Marubeni-led consortium
Codelco awarded a BOOT contract for a desalination plant and infrastructure to a consortium led by Marubeni Corporation (50%), with Transelec (30%) and Techint Chile (20%). The plant will have an initial capacity of 840 l/s, with construction expected to begin in Q1 2020 and operations in 2022.
