Vedanta Resources plans to invest $300 million to increase the capacity of its Electrosteel Steels plant in Bokaro from 1.5 million tonnes to 2.5 million tonnes, expected to be completed in two years.

Zest WEG Group is working as a preferred supplier with lead contractor ELB Engineering Services to standardise on its transformers and motors for Vedanta Resources' Gamsberg zinc mine in the Northern Cape, South Africa. The $400 million greenfields project is expected to produce 250,000 tonnes of zinc concentrate per year, with first product expected by mid-2018.
