Al Gharbia Pipe Company, a joint venture between Senaat, JFE Steel Corporation and Marubeni-Itochu Steel, began commercial production of large-diameter sour grade steel pipes at its plant in Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi. The plant has an annual capacity of 240,000 tons.

Tubacex and Senaat General Holding Corp. agreed to acquire The Nobu Group, a Dubai-based precision component repair and manufacturing services provider for oilfield equipment. The transaction is expected to close in March 2019.

The Taweelah Aluminium Extrusion Company (TALEX) has inaugurated a new aluminium extrusion plant at Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (KIZAD). The plant has an estimated production capacity of 50,000 tonnes per annum of aluminium profiles and 45,000 tonnes of aluminium billets.

Ducab Aluminium Company (DAC), a joint venture between Ducab and Senaat, was officially inaugurated at Khalifa Industrial Zone of Abu Dhabi. The $60 million facility will produce 50,000 metric tonnes of aluminium rod and overhead conductor annually, supplied with molten aluminium from Emirates Global Aluminium.
