Nitta Gelatin

Bostik, part of Arkema, completed the acquisition of Nitta Gelatin's adhesive business on February 1, 2021, forming the Bostik-Nitta joint venture. The deal includes a new world-scale plant in Nara, Japan, which started operations on September 14, 2020.

Viscofan has agreed to acquire 100% of Nitta Casings in the US and Canada from Nitta Gelatin Group for an enterprise value of $13.5 million. The deal includes collagen casing manufacturing centers in New Jersey and Ontario.

Bostik, an Arkema company, completed the acquisition of the industrial adhesives business of Nitta Gelatin Inc. through the Bostik-Nitta joint venture in Japan on August 1, 2018. The acquisition will be complemented by the construction of a new adhesives plant in Japan.

Arkema has agreed to buy the 50% stake it does not already own in its Japanese adhesives joint venture Bostik-Nitta from partner Nitta Gelatin. The deal is expected to close by the end of summer 2018.

Arkema announced that its Bostik-Nitta joint venture will acquire the industrial adhesives business of Nitta-Gelatin Inc., representing sales of about €30 million. The acquisition is expected to close in summer 2018.
