Greensteel Australia

Greensteel Australia has selected Mayfield, Newcastle, for a $500 million gas-free steel mill, Australia's first new steel mill in over 30 years. It will produce 600,000 tonnes of finished steel annually and employ around 200 workers, with production expected to begin in early 2028.
