Knorr-Bremse and Dongfeng Auto Parts are expanding their joint venture to include steering systems and associated activities, building on their existing collaboration in air brake products. The joint venture, established in 2015, will also increase investment in automated driving R&D.

Dongfeng Auto Parts has transferred its compressor and compressed air activities to the joint venture Knorr-Bremse Dongfeng Electronic & Technology (DETC) Commercial Vehicle Braking Technology Co., Ltd., effective January 1, 2018. This expands the existing cooperation between Knorr-Bremse and Dongfeng.

Fawer Automotive Parts Company and Dongfeng Auto Parts Company have signed a letter of intent to establish a joint venture, with Fawer taking the leading operational role.
