Electro-Industries

A new company formed by Sonelgaz, Electro-industries, and Vijai Electricals signed statutes for a transformer plant in Tizi Ouzou, Algeria. The plant will produce large power transformers and create 380-400 jobs, with production expected by 2021.

A partnership was signed between Indian company Vijai Electricals, Algerian company Electro-Industries, and Sonelgaz to establish a joint venture named Vijai Electricals Algeria in Azazga, Tizi Ouzou. The investment is 4.67 billion Algerian dinars, with a capital of 1.4 billion dinars. The plant will produce 115 high-power transformers per year, creating 358 permanent jobs, with a construction period of 22 months.
